Cloud9 Blog Hop Preview: August 2012

Welcome to the Cloud9 Blog Hop Preview for this month!  This month we're challenging you to make a project inspired by the following sketch, using at least one Wplus9 image:

The actual hop will go live on August 9th at 10am EST. In case you're stuck (perhaps because you're just so distracted by the awesome release previews going on right now), that post will include some projects from our Inspiration Team and last month's winner of our Guest Spot, Maureen Merritt, to help get you started. YAY!

In the meantime, we would love to hear from you: what's your favorite Wplus9 stamp set and why? Our very first hop last month surely added to the wish lists of many people, including myself, and we'd love to hear your thoughts on what to order first.

Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm for our first hop!

It's later than I would have hoped but some of us have been on vacation, including myself, and the Internet connection here isn't as strong as I had hoped for...making it tough to write a post that includes photos, etc. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Cloud9 Blog Hop Preview: July 2012

Thanks so much to everyone for sharing their encouraging words and support as we get this blog up and running. In just a few days, we're going to kickoff our very first hop, but first I wanted to share some basics with you:

• Some folks have written asking about an Inspiration Team, and I am thrilled to tell you that several super talented ladies will be joining us each month to help provide inspiration to you. I will announce them in a few days when the July hop goes live.

• Yay! There will be prizes! Dawn Woleslagle has generously offered a prize each month for a participant that will be chosen at random. We can't thank her enough for her support - she has given the blog a fabulous makeover with a new banner and the badge you see above. The Inspiration Team will also be voting for their favorites, and the player with the most votes will win a spot as a guest Inspiration Team designer for the following month's blog hop.

• Each month, we will announce the challenge on the 6th to give you a few days to prepare your projects. The hop will go live on the 9th at 10am EST and remain open for 3 days to give everyone ample time to play along. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.

Our first blog hop is going to be a photo inspiration challenge, and we hope you all have fun getting inky and playing along with us. If you are new to this type of challenge, here is how it works: you can use the colors, shapes, patterns, etc. from the photo as inspiration for your project, which should contain at least one Wplus9 image.

Hi everyone,

We're really excited to welcome you to the Cloud9 blog!

After talking to some crafty friends about how we wished there was a place for us to share our Wplus9 creations on a regular basis surrounding around a theme or challenge, I approached Dawn Woleslagle with an idea and received her blessing to form this blog. As a result, we're planning to hold monthly blog hops on the 9th of the month using different challenge themes and hope that you are inspired to join us!
